This data set contains locations of properties targeted for EPA Brownfields grant assistance from the Assessment, Cleanup and Redevelopment Exchange System (ACRES) database. ACRES stores information reported by EPA Brownfields grant recipients on brownfields properties assessed or cleaned up with grant funding as well as information on Targeted Brownfields Assessments performed by EPA Regions. A brownfield is a property, the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant.
